Peterborough ON – Oct 31, 2018
It is with mixed emotions that CCRC announces the retirement of its Executive Director, Casey Ready, effective April 2019. She will continue to serve until a successor is named and the leadership transition is complete.
“It’s hard to say goodbye, but I’m really happy with what we’ve accomplished” said Ready, “Over the 17 years I’ve been at CCRC, we’ve completed the amalgamation of our two founding agencies and developed services that help people maintain and secure housing, strengthen relationships, and gain control of their finances. It is easier to retire knowing that CCRC has the dedicated and talented Board, staff and volunteers needed to carry that mission forward.”
Casey joined CCRC in 2001 after leading the United Way (1993-1999) and Peterborough Social Planning Council (1999-2001). She is known as a positive, motivating leader and for her ability to be strategic while managing the many details of a complex organization. She was instrumental in consolidating CCRC services into a central and more accessible downtown location and has worked collaboratively with Board, staff and volunteers to bring leadership to CCRC and to advocate for social justice on issues affecting CCRC clients.
For over 60 years, CCRC has provided professional, caring services that make a positive and lasting difference in people’s lives and within the community. With 25 staff serving over 6,500 households every year, CCRC makes an important difference in clients’ lives and in the overall health and wellness of our community.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, and the staff and clients of CCRC, I want to say a huge thank-you to Casey for her leadership and dedication to social justice”, said Beckie Evans, CCRC Board President. “We are immensely grateful for Casey’s vision and leadership in developing and enhancing CCRC and its services and connections throughout Peterborough City and County. The strong foundation of CCRC today, is Casey’s legacy.”
CCRC’s Board is actively engaged in a search process for a new Executive Director.
