COVID-19 Update – Please note that all Counselling Groups are suspended until we are advised by Peterborough Public Health that it is safe to resume group sessions. Any updates to our services will be posted on our social media channels as well as on our website.
Professional Counselling offers a number of counselling groups in addition to our individual and family counselling program. New sessions generally start in September or October, and January, while some groups also have April to June sessions. All groups require pre-registration. For further information about any group, please call (705) 742-4258 and ask for the Intake Counsellor.
We are pleased to offer the following groups:

Expressive Arts Therapy Group

This 12-session group for survivors facilitates self-expression and healing through the mediums of visual art, clay sculpture, papier mache, and other forms of artistic expression. No artistic experience needed. The group is provided in a safe, nurturing environment by a qualified art therapist and co-therapist experienced in providing therapy for survivors.

In a supportive environment, children learn that the violence is not their fault, and have the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings with others. Transportation and child care are available.
