Housing Resource Centre Vacancy Listings
Information provided on vacancy listings is provided as general information for people seeking rental housing. The details of individual listings are provided to CCRC’s Housing Resource Centre by the property owner/landlord or their agent. While CCRC does not screen landlords, vacancies or tenants or inspect the potential vacant units, it reserves the right to refuse to post listings or to revise the content to ensure that all listings comply with any applicable Canadian and Ontario laws, including without limitation the Canadian Human Rights Act, the Ontario Human Rights Code, and the Residential Tenancies Act. Notwithstanding such rights, to the maximum extent permitted by law, CCRC makes no representation or warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, currency or completeness of the vacancy listing information and, in providing such information, CCRC does not provide a recommendation or endorsement as to the suitability of any vacancy in any shape or form.
Both tenants and landlords are strongly advised to seek professional advice to ensure they know their rights and responsibilities and have carefully considered all matters/issues before entering into a rental agreement or tenancy.
The Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws in force in the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and any dispute arising hereunder shall be resolved exclusively by the courts in the Province of Ontario.
The Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between CCRC and you with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all communications, representations or agreements, either oral or written, between CCRC and you with respect to this subject matter. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of the Terms and Conditions or a portion thereof to be unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to affect the intent of the Terms and Conditions, and the remainder of the Terms and Conditions shall continue in full force and effect. CCRC’s failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of the Terms and Conditions or any right shall not be construed as a waiver of any such provision or right.
