400
People Rocked with Juke Box Mania!
CCRC’s first ever Juke Box Mania event
held in celebration of our 50th anniversary was
a huge success. A sold out crowd of 400 people
packed the hall at the Rock Haven, playing 10
rounds of a “name that tune” type
game that brought full tables to their feet dancing.
With some teams dressed as their favourite musical
groups, participants included celebrities such
as Sonny and Cher, Dolly Parton, the Jimmy Buffets
and even a few hippies who found their way in
from the sixties. The evening included the Juke
Box Mania game, dinner and a silent auction, and
as expected, ended with a lively dance motivated
by decades of music history. Over $2500 was raised
to support the services of CCRC, and the stage
was set to offer Juke Box Mania with potential
for growth in future years.
CCRC extends thanks to all sponsors of Juke Box
Mania, including the WOLF/KRUZ, The Peterborough
Examiner, Collins Barrow Chartered Accountants,
Lorne Curry – Investia Financial Services
Inc. and CIBC. We also thank Elements Restaurant,
the Shiskabob Hut, La Hacienda and the Festival
of Lights for
generously donating prizes for the game, and all
who donated to our silent auction, purchased corporate
tables, and came with their friends and families
for a fun evening in support of CCRC.
Mark your calendars for next year’s Juke
Box Mania: Friday, May 4, 2007!
