Juke Box Mania Raises over $30K!

Juke Box Mania nets over $30,000 to support CCRC services!

Thanks to over 420 participants and dozens of sponsors, donors, volunteers and Juke Box Heroes, Juke Box Mania 2017 beat its goal of raising $27,600 this year as it raised over $30,000! These funds will support CCRC services that help people maintain and secure housing, strengthen their relationships and gain control over their finances. In total, Juke Box Mania has raised $170,000 in its 12 year history, all in support of CCRC services.

“With the great food provided by 10 local caterers and chefs and the larger venue of the Peterborough Memorial Centre, we knew everyone would have a great time, but no one could have guessed that we would exceed our goal” stated Juke Box Mania Co-Chair, Bob Campbell. “The response has been overwhelmingly positive, so we know we are heading in the right direction with the changes we implemented this year.”

Collins Barrow’s ‘Others’ team won Gold place, along with its coveted ‘bragging rights,’ followed by LLF ‘Speedwagon’ Lawyers, who took home the Silver prize. The ‘Sofa Kings’ were no couch-sitters, rounding out the top three with Bronze medals.

Janice Green’s team continued their multi-year winning streak for ‘Best Costume,’ as the dressed up as the group ‘Black Eyed Peas. CCRC staff team led by Kirsten Armbrust, with great last-minute help from placement student Bella Bettencourt, took home the title of Juke Box Heroes, bringing in $1325 from the peer-to-peer fundraising component of the event.

Catherine Hanrahan and Carey Walker of the 101.5 THE WOLF, CHEX Peterborough and 100.5 Fresh Radio were the gracious hosts, leading teams through 10 challenging rounds of songs and jingles.

All of the delicious food was prepared and served by local chefs from Amusé Coffee Co., Black Honey, Chasing the Cheese, EC Catering, La Hacienda, NaKeD Chocolate, Primal Cuts, Rare Grill House, South Pond Farms, and Shafiq’s Taste of IndiaCCRC is ever grateful their support and generosity.
