Juke Box Mania to Rock Peterborough for 5th Year!

February 10th, 2010

Community Counselling and Resource Centre (CCRC) announces the official launch of ticket sales for its 5th annual Juke Box Mania!

Music lovers are invited to come out for a fun night of music, food and entertainment, on Friday April 30, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Evinrude Centre.

Juke Box Mania is a fun evening of great music and entertainment, involving a “name that tune” game. Players in teams of 8 listen to sound clips of music and submit answers identifying songs, TV jingles, movies and artists to a panel of judges. The top three teams go home with a prize and bragging rights!

Proceeds from this year’s event will help prevent homelessness through the important work of CCRC’s Housing Resource Centre. “Housing help, support and information are greatly needed in the City and County of Peterborough,” notes Heide Flatten, Juke Box Chair and CCRC Board member. “Over 5,000 people were assisted by the Housing Resource Centre in the past year and the program needs funds to meet rising service demands,” states Flatten. In addition to the music and the game a silent auction and raffles add to the excitement.

Registration costs start at $240 per team, which includes a pizza dinner and other special surprises. Corporate and sponsorship tables are also available, providing higher levels of support to prevent homelessness and extra benefits to guests, such as company recognition and VIP seating. To register, teams can call CCRC at 742-4258, fax names to CCRC at 741-1734, or email CCRC at ccrc@ccrc-ptbo.com. Tables sell quickly, and we encourage everyone to sign up now to avoid disappointment.

To learn about sponsorship opportunities, to donate to the silent auction or for more information, please contact CCRC at 742-4258.
