Ways of Giving

Your gift today will have an immediate impact on your community. You may choose to designate your gift to an area of special importance to you, or allow CCRC to choose the area of greatest need. Our donor card is easily accessed on the “Make a Gift” page. We provide a tax receipt for all donations.

You may donate to your community through CCRC as follows:

General donation
Make a donation to help restore hope and dignity to people who might otherwise remain invisible in society.

Donation in Honour
Make a donation in honour of someone special. We will send a letter on your behalf acknowledging your thoughtful donation. You may include a personal message if you wish in your reply to us.

Donation in Memory
An In Memoriam donation is a meaningful way for you to remember someone special. Once your donation is received, a letter of condolence will be mailed to the person you would like notified. You may include a personal message if you wish in your reply to us.

Monthly Giving Plan
CCRC offers an easy method to give hope today and tomorrow without having to write cheques regularly or respond to appeals by mail. When you check off the box for monthly giving a form will be sent to you that will authorize us to withdraw a specific amount each month from your account. You may choose to include your credit card number allowing us to process your monthly donation through your credit card each month.

Gifts of Securities
Please contact us to find out how your gift of appreciated securities will make a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable people in your community. Please email jduquette@ccrc-ptbo.com for more information.

How Tax Credits Help You Donate

Canadian donors receive a federal charitable tax credit equal to 17% of the first $200 donated, and 29% on any amount over $200. Add in the Ontario provincial tax credit, and you receive a charitable tax credit equal to about 47% of your cumulative donations. Essentially, it costs 53 cents on the dollar to make a gift to charity.
