Homelessness Prevention Funds

Low-income residents of Peterborough City and County may be able to apply for one-time grants to find or keep housing. This assistance is limited and subject to funds being available

Eligible expenses include rent or utility deposits or arrears. For homeless people we may be able to assist with moving and storage costs or emergency transportation, medical supplies and food.

The following assistance programs are offered through the Housing Resource Centre based on availability of funds:

  • Rent Bank
  • Emergency Assistance Fund
  • FUSE
  • Emergency Energy Fund of Ontario
  • Winter Warmth - Enbridge
  • Winter Warmth - Hydro One
